The Curriculum at Woodingdean

The curriculum at Woodingdean Primary School is based on the National Curriculum statutory from September 2014.

It is skills based in design and intended to provide learning and teaching motivation for both children and teachers.

There is a strong creative theme running through our curriculum provision with three distinct elements; a stunning start, a marvellous middle and a fantastic finish.
All year groups include book and text studies within their termly topic plans, this enables children to be given a text-immersive experience.

All termly topics are supported through high quality resources, trips, visitors and experiences that provide ample opportunity for real depth of study.
Sample curriculum letters can be viewed in the letters section of our website.
Curriculum Plans are included below (English & Maths will follow as more year groups begin the new national curriculum)
