Gifted, Talented and More Able

At Woodingdean Primary School we aim to provide a curriculum that is appropriate to the needs and abilities of all our children.

We plan our teaching and learning in such a way that we enable each child to reach for the highest level of personal achievement. Our approach helps to ensure that we recognise and support the needs of those children in our school who have been identified as gifted, talented or most able.

Identified children are provided with additional challenges and opportunities that enable them to meet their potential. Teachers and parents / carers work together to ensure the right activities are targeted and specifcally provided to bring out the best.
We will soon be introducing an annual enrichment plan for each of the identified children to ensure that we can adequately provide for their needs.
